Catherine Gray
Hillarosa ATV Park Ambassador | Grant County, Arkansas
Catherine Gray is the kind of rider who reminds you what the mud community is really all about — family, loyalty, unforgettable memories, and a love for the ride that runs deep. As a proud Where2Mud Ambassador representing Hillarosa ATV Park, Catherine brings heart, authenticity, and a true passion for the off-road lifestyle.
For Catherine, being a park ambassador means supporting what she loves and the people and places that make it possible. It is about showing up for the riding community, representing a park that has given her and her family so many great memories, and being part of something bigger than just a weekend in the mud.
Her off-road story started early. Catherine has been riding since she was a kid, but she found the mud world in a whole new way in 2009 when she met her other half, Josh. By 2013, she had her own Honda with a 10-inch lift, and from there, she was hooked. What started as a passion quickly became a lifestyle, one that has shaped years of memories with her family and the off-road community they love.
When it comes to Hillarosa ATV Park, Catherine says it is more than just a place to ride. It is a family-friendly park with mud that keeps things exciting. In her words, it is a different kind of nasty mud that does not play, and it is always changing. That is part of what makes it such a favorite. She also shares how much the owner, JJ, has made them feel like family, creating the kind of environment that keeps people coming back and building memories year after year.
Catherine’s current ride is a Can-Am X3 running 42-inch tires, 6-inch portals, and PCF forward A-arms — a setup built to handle serious mud. You might also catch her riding with Josh in their Defender, which is running 48s, 8-inch portals, a chopped cage, a PCF lift, and other PCF upgrades. And the riding tradition is already carrying into the next generation. Their son got his first SXS this year, a Can-Am Commander affectionately dubbed Lieutenant Dan, and Catherine says it is still a work in progress.
Ask Catherine what her favorite part of the mud community is, and her answer is simple: the people. She loves how complete strangers can become family and how the riding world has a way of pulling together when someone is in need. It is one of the reasons she is proud to be raising her son in this community — because it is about much more than mud. It is about connection, support, and showing up for each other.
Outside of riding, Catherine enjoys camping with their four dogs and traveling with Josh, often in search of his next great Facebook Marketplace find. Whether they are on the trails, at the campsite, or chasing down another off-road project, their life is full of adventure, family, and fun.
We are proud to have Catherine Gray representing Where2Mud and Hillarosa ATV Park. She is a great example of what makes this community special — strong roots, a love for family, and a passion for the kind of memories that only the mud can make.
