Meet McKinsey McClain and Nick Barnard
Based in Meridian, Mississippi, McKinsey McClain and Nick Barnard are the team behind Southern Senders Offroad and proud Where2Mud Ambassadors.
Together, they represent the genuine spirit of the off-road community: sharing real experiences, helping fellow riders and encouraging others to explore new parks and events.
For McKinsey and Nick, being an ambassador is about more than promoting a name. It is about spreading the word, supporting others and sharing honest experiences that may help another rider plan a trip, choose a park or prepare for their next adventure.
They wanted to represent Where2Mud because they believe in the people and purpose behind the platform.
“Where2Mud is made up of some of the truest and most genuine people we’ve met. We also use Where2Mud ourselves when planning events and trips. It is a helpful resource when traveling from park to park.”
How They Got Started
Nick has been riding for as long as he can remember. McKinsey became involved in the off-road community after the two began dating, and they have now spent nearly two years riding and traveling together.
What began as a shared hobby has become an important part of their lives. From visiting new parks to camping and preparing their machines, off-roading gives them an opportunity to spend time together while meeting people from across the mud community.
Where They Ride
McKinsey and Nick represent Mudslingers and regularly visit several parks throughout the Southeast, including:
- Wild Country Offroad
- Zona ATV Recreation Park
- Boggs & Boulders
- Sabine ATV Park
- Rocks Bottom Offroad
- Burden’s Creek
Wild Country holds a special place for them because of its river access, mud holes and variety of events throughout the year.
They especially enjoy spending time by the river on hot days and believe the park offers a great mix of riding, relaxing and community.
Their Rides
Southern Senders Offroad currently has a Honda Rancher 420 and a recently purchased Can-Am Maverick X3 Max Turbo.
The Honda Rancher has already received several upgrades. Nick’s favorite additions are the 6-inch 45% portals and the 60% gear reduction.
Their Can-Am build is only getting started, but McKinsey and Nick say there are some big plans in the works. Riders can follow Southern Senders Offroad to watch the build develop and see where the machine takes them next.
What They Love About the Mud Community
For McKinsey and Nick, the best part of the off-road community is the people.
They enjoy meeting new riders, building friendships and making memories while traveling to different parks and events. Those connections are a major reason they continue to ride and share their experiences online.
When they are not at a mud park, they are usually preparing for the next trip, working on their machines, traveling or camping.
