For Cody and Summer, being a park ambassador means being part of something bigger than just riding. It is about representing the people, the friendships, and the unforgettable moments that come with the mud community. They see it as an opportunity to support the lifestyle they love, make real connections, meet new friends, and help shine a light on the parks, people, and experiences that make off-road culture so much fun.
Their story in the mud world started long before side-by-sides took over. Summer jokes that they were probably riding longer than their parents even knew about, with plenty of high school adventures and questionable decisions mixed in with the great memories. Cody was right there alongside her, making the same kind of stories that riders laugh about for years. Together, they have lived through every era of riding, from the four-wheeler days to the time when 32-inch tires felt huge, and now into the SXS era they fully embraced in 2021.
What started as weekend fun turned into something much bigger. For Cody and Summer, mud riding became a hobby they truly love and a lifestyle they could raise their family in. Today, it is not just about the ride. It is about building memories, growing their community, and bringing their three children into a world that has given them so much fun and friendship.
When asked what they love most about Boggs & Boulders, their answer is easy. It is their favorite park, and not just because it is close to home. They love that it truly has something for everyone, no matter your riding style or tire size. From big mud holes to scenic trails, plenty of lodging, and not one but two swimming holes, Boggs & Boulders is the kind of place where riders can spend an entire weekend making memories. Whether you want action, relaxation, or family fun, they say Boggs is hard to beat.
As for their rides, Cody and Summer keep things fun with two Polaris Pro XPs — a 2-seater and a 4-seater. In their words, it is all about balance: one for the family and one for when it is just the two of them having a little less responsible kind of fun. Their favorite upgrades are portals and audio. Portals because clearance matters, and audio because every great ride deserves the right soundtrack.
Beyond their own builds, Cody and Summer are also the founding members of the DigsRus crew, a group focused on having a good time and growing the riding community. They also serve as ambassadors for Lost Riders, which they describe as a total game-changer in the off-road world, especially when every ride seems to include at least one friend who disappears like they are on a solo mission.
Still, when asked about their favorite part of the mud community, their answer is simple: the people. They love that the off-road world is filled with genuine, welcoming people who are there to have fun, help each other out, and make the most of life. It is a community that makes room for everybody, whether you are looking for a wild weekend, a family-friendly ride, or somewhere in between.
Outside of riding, Cody and Summer are hardworking parents with full-time careers in the steel industry. During the week, life is all about work, schedules, and raising their three littles. On the weekends, though, they trade all of that for mud, trails, laughter, and family memories. At the heart of it all, they are a family that works hard, plays hard, and loves raising their kids in the riding community.
