Some people spend the week polished and put together, then turn right around on the weekend and chase mud, trails, and a good time with the same energy. That is Kim Matthews in a nutshell.
From Kinston, Alabama, Kim represents Boggs and Boulders as a proud Where2Mud Ambassador, and she brings a mix of fun, heart, and true muddy-girl spirit everywhere she goes. For Kim, being an ambassador is all about bringing people together. She loves the way riding connects folks from different places and different walks of life, turning strangers into friends and weekends into memories.
Boggs and Boulders has become much more than a park to Kim. It is her home away from home. It is the place where she and her crew have met some of the most incredible people from all across the country, people they may have never crossed paths with otherwise. That sense of community is exactly why representing Where2Mud means so much to her. She loves being part of something that helps riders find events, discover parks, and spend less time searching online and more time actually out there living it.
For Kim, riding is an escape. It is a break from the noise of everyday life and a chance to reconnect with friends, family, nature, and the outdoor lifestyle she loves. During the week, she may be a girly girl, but by the weekend, she is fully in muddy-girl mode — and she is more than happy to share every bit of that adventure with her social media family.
Kim has been riding for about four years, but it did not take long for the mud life to get ahold of her. The first time they visited Boggs and Boulders, they rolled in with a stock little Kubota work SXS. Before that trip was even over, Kim was already shopping for a RZR. They later had a RZR High Lifter that she says she would absolutely send it in — until a head-on crash ended that chapter. Now, they are rolling in a machine that fits their current style perfectly: a 2025 Polaris Ranger 1500 XD Northstar Ultimate, better known as their Party Buggy.
And yes, the Party Buggy is built to have fun. It is outfitted with SuperATV 4-inch portals, Thumper Fab nerf bars, fender flares, and back wrench bumper, 33-inch tires and rims from Wild Boar ATV with plans to jump to 35s, and a custom DS18 speaker system from Dadfab Customs. It is a setup that keeps Kim smiling, especially when those portals let her ease through the muddy holes that make her heart happy.
When asked what she loves most about Boggs and Boulders, Kim does not hesitate. The staff is at the top of her list. She says the moment you pull through the gate, they make you feel like family and like you have arrived home for the weekend. Beyond that, Boggs offers everything she loves — long trail rides, great scenery, cool-down time at the pool, and one of her favorite places in the park, the Willy Pond, where she raced her SXS for the first time. She also loves climbing to the top of the hills for the view at sunset and riding through the Connex to the other side of the park.
For Kim, one of the best parts of the mud community is the people. It is the kind of world where new friendships happen fast, and help shows up without hesitation. She loves that riders look out for each other and that the community is built around people simply being happy to be on the trails and having a good time.
Outside of riding, Kim is all about family, friends, and new adventures. She is also known for saying “Hey Y’all Hey” a lot — which feels pretty fitting for someone who brings that much warmth and personality wherever she goes.
