Barrett Hepburn: Helping Riders Build Their Dream Machines, One Custom Wrap at a Time

In the off-road world, your machine says a lot about you before you ever hit the throttle. For some riders, it is all about performance. For others, it is about style. For the best builds, it is both. That is exactly where Barrett Hepburn, CEO and artist behind BHD Wraps, has carved out his place in the mud and off-road community.

Based in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Barrett is known for creating custom off-road wraps that help riders take their machines from ordinary to unforgettable. But what really makes his work stand out is not just the final product. It is the experience.

Barrett and his team offer custom-designed off-road wraps with 3D rendering and live design video calls, giving riders a chance to be part of the creative process in real time. Instead of guessing what a design might look like, customers can actually work alongside Barrett to bring their vision to life.

As Barrett puts it, “We help build people’s dream machines!”

From a Garage in Whistler to the Off-Road Wrap Game

Barrett’s story started about 15 years ago while living in Whistler, British Columbia, where he began designing snowmobile wraps out of his garage. At the time, he could not find anyone who could create the kind of design work he was looking for, so he decided to do it himself.

That decision turned into something much bigger.

After installing his own wrap, more and more people began asking Barrett to design for them too. Within a couple of months, he was offered a job as lead artist for a company called Toyskinz in Idaho Falls. That opportunity became the launchpad for his career in off-road graphics.

A few years later, Barrett started his own company, and he has been growing and innovating ever since.

What Makes BHD Wraps Different

In a community full of custom builds and one-of-a-kind rides, Barrett has found a way to separate BHD Wraps from the crowd.

According to Barrett, his company is the only one live-designing custom wraps in video calls alongside the client. That means riders do not have to wait and hope the final design matches what they had in mind. They get to see it happen, give feedback, and be part of the process from the start.

On top of that, BHD Wraps can also 3D render machines with the wrap installed, creating next-level concept art that helps riders visualize the finished build before the first piece is ever applied.

That combination of design talent, innovation, and customer interaction is a big part of why Barrett has earned attention in the off-road scene.

“We are proud to say we strive to provide the absolute best quality customer service and interaction possible and treat every machine like it’s our own,” Barrett shared.

That mindset matters in a community where machines are more than toys. They are personal. They represent hard work, creativity, and the lifestyle riders love.

Inspired by the Ride

When asked about his favorite place to ride, Barrett pointed back to Whistler, BC.

It is easy to understand why.

For Barrett, Whistler stands out because of its high elevation, unbelievable views, and the incredible variety of trails throughout the Sea to Sky corridor. It is the kind of place that leaves an impression on any rider, and clearly one that helped shape his passion for both machines and design.

A Tip From Barrett for Riders

Barrett also shared a tip that riders might want to remember the next time they are lined up for a jump:

When you’re hitting jumps, giving an extra 30% throttle off the lip will stop the nose dive.

That kind of advice only comes from someone who lives the lifestyle, not just someone designing from behind a screen.

Pushing the Limits of Design

This riding season, Barrett is most excited about finding new areas to ride and continuing to push the limits of design.

And he is not stopping with wraps.

He shared that BHD Wraps is currently working on bringing those custom designs into 3D animation, opening the door to an entirely new level of concept art for the off-road world. It is the kind of forward-thinking creativity that keeps brands relevant and keeps customers excited about what is next.

Barrett also made a point to thank the people who have supported him along the way.

“We want to thank everyone for their support for the past few years. Thanks to that support, we are able to continue bringing new innovation to the off-road graphics and wrap game.”

Built for the Bog

At Where2Mud, we love highlighting the people who make this community more creative, more exciting, and more connected. Barrett Hepburn is doing exactly that.

He is not just designing wraps. He is helping riders turn their ideas into reality, helping machines stand out, and raising the bar for what custom off-road graphics can be.

From humble beginnings in a garage to building dream machines for riders across the community, Barrett’s journey is a reminder that the off-road world is built by people willing to create something different.
