Chicken Shine Brings the BkAAAwk, the Shine, and Products That Actually Work

In the mudding world, there are brands you notice because of their products, and then there are brands you notice because a man in a chicken suit just rolled into the park and somehow became the life of the ride.

Chicken Shine is both.

Based out of Mobile, Alabama, Chicken Shine Products LLC is owned and operated by JP Brannan, and the brand has quickly become one of the most recognizable names in the off-road cleaning game. With a bold name, an unforgettable mascot, and products made by people who actually ride, Chicken Shine was built for the folks who know exactly what it feels like to spend an entire Sunday scrubbing mud off a buggy.

Their mission is simple: cleaning and shining products that work.

From Mud-Covered Sundays to Chicken Shine

Chicken Shine started the way a lot of good off-road ideas do: out of frustration, necessity, and a whole lot of mud.

JP and his dad were tired of spending their Sundays detailing two or three buggies, scrubbing them down after a weekend of riding. They wanted a cleaning product that actually made the job easier. So instead of just complaining about it, they decided to create one themselves.

And Chicken Shine was born.

But the Chicken Shine story goes deeper than the bottle. JP has been riding for as long as he could press the gas on a four-wheeler. The off-road lifestyle has always been part of his family, and so has the chicken suit.

JP’s dad, Bo Brannan, has been wearing the now-famous chicken suit since before JP was born. It started as something funny for his own family. JP’s older brother thought it was hilarious as a baby, and when JP came along, the reaction was the same.

What began as a family joke turned into something much bigger. Today, the “chicken man” brings smiles, laughs, and plenty of attention everywhere he goes.

And according to JP, Bo doesn’t know a stranger.

Why Chicken Shine Stands Out

Let’s be honest: in a world full of off-road brands, Chicken Shine is not easy to forget.

The name alone gets attention. Add in the chicken suit, the personality, and a product line that riders actually use, and you have a brand that feels different because it is different.

JP said it best: “It’s CHICKEN SHINE
the marketing doesn’t get too much more noticeable. And our products actually work.”

That combination is what makes the brand so strong. It is fun, loud, memorable, and rooted in real mud park experience. Chicken Shine is not trying to sell to a community from the outside. They are part of the community.

They ride. They clean. They know the struggle. And they built products because they needed them too.

Favorite Place to Ride

When it comes to favorite riding spots, JP says Wild Country is hard to beat.

Located only about 45 minutes away from them, Wild Country is familiar territory. It is one of those places they know like the back of their hands, and that kind of home-park connection matters in the mudding world.

Every rider has that one park that feels like home. For Chicken Shine, Wild Country is that place.

Advice for Riders: Take Care of Your Buggy

JP’s advice for new and experienced riders is straight to the point:

Give your buggies proper maintenance.

That means keeping them clean, changing parts when needed, and learning how your machine talks to you. JP believes riders should become fluent in their buggy’s “language” and know how to fix what needs fixing.

And he is right.

Mud riding is fun, but it is also hard on equipment. A clean, well-maintained buggy is not just about looking good at the park. It is about protecting your investment, catching problems early, and keeping yourself ready for the next ride.

That is exactly where Chicken Shine fits into the lifestyle.

What’s Coming Up

Chicken Shine is especially excited for the Lost Riders Helping Hands Back to School Bash at Sabine ATV Park, happening July 17–19.

Events like this are what the mud community is all about: riding, showing up, supporting one another, and making memories that go way beyond the trails.

You can expect Chicken Shine to bring the shine, the energy, and probably a whole lot of “BKAAAWK.”

Final BkAAAwk

Chicken Shine is more than a cleaning brand. It is personality, family, mud park culture, and a whole lot of shine wrapped into one unforgettable package.

They saw a problem every rider knows too well, built a product to solve it, and brought a chicken suit along for the ride.

And honestly? That is exactly the kind of thing that is Built for the Bog.
